1. Acceptance of Terms & Eligibility

A Bedtime Story (the “Service”) is an independent web application created and operated by Andy Warr (“Developer,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (the “Terms”). If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

Adult Eligibility: The Service is intended exclusively for adults (parents, guardians, grandparents, and gift-givers aged 18 or older). Minors are not permitted to register accounts or execute financial transactions on the Service.

2. The Storybook Service

A Bedtime Story allows users to:

• Upload photographs of children, pets, and family members to generate custom illustrated character avatars.
• Select from curated story adventures or write custom prompts to generate bespoke storybooks up to 12 pages in length.
• Choose between curated art themes (such as 3D Animation, Watercolor, Anime, and Sketch) and select optional bilingual reading modes.
• Read digital storybooks in an interactive flip-book reader and make edits within the designated edit window.

3. Account Registration & Google Sign-In

To create and save storybooks, you must authenticate using your Google account via OAuth. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and credentials. You agree to notify us immediately if you suspect any unauthorized access to your account.

4. Photo Uploads & Likeness Permissions

When uploading photographs of individuals (including minor children) or pets to the Service, you represent and warrant that:

• You are the parent or legal guardian of any minor depicted, or you have received express authorization from the child's parent/guardian.
• You have all necessary rights and permissions to upload the image for personalized story generation.
• The uploaded images do not violate any privacy, copyright, or publicity rights of any third party.

🔒 Zero Photo Storage: We process uploaded reference photos ephemerally in RAM solely to construct your artistic character avatar. Original uploaded photos are never saved to our database or cloud storage and are discarded immediately.

5. Content Ownership & Personal Use Rights

• Your Photos: You retain 100% ownership of all original photographs you upload to the Service.
• Your Generated Storybooks: When you purchase a storybook, A Bedtime Story grants you a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive license to view, read, download, privately display, share with family members, and print physical keepsake copies of your storybook for personal, non-commercial use.
• Platform Intellectual Property: All software, website design, UI code, character generation pipelines, template concepts, logos, and artwork styles are the exclusive intellectual property of A Bedtime Story.

6. Child Safety & Acceptable Use Rules

To protect all children and families on our platform, you strictly agree NOT to:

• Upload photographs containing nudity, violence, weapons, or inappropriate subject matter.
• Submit story prompts containing hateful, frightening, sexually explicit, abusive, or harmful themes.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, bypass safety filters, scrape, or extract platform models and assets.
• Use the Service for commercial resale or unauthorized mass redistribution.

We employ automated and manual content safety filters. We reserve the right to decline generation or terminate accounts that violate our child-safety standards.

7. Pricing, Payments & 24-Hour Edit Window

• One-Time Fee: Each custom storybook is purchased as a one-time transaction of $9.99 USD. There are no recurring monthly subscriptions or hidden surprise charges.
• Free 24-Hour Edit Window: Every purchased book includes a 24-hour edit window starting immediately after purchase. During this window, you may edit story sentences and re-prompt illustrations directly within the reader at no extra charge.
• Permanent Library Access: Completed storybooks remain permanently stored in your account library for on-demand reading on any device.

8. Satisfaction Guarantee & Story Credit Policy

We want every bedtime to feel magical. Because each storybook is custom-crafted and incurs immediate computational and illustration generation costs, purchases are final sale once book generation begins.

However, we stand behind the quality of our service with our 100% Happiness Guarantee:

• 24-Hour Free Edit Window: You can refine story sentences and re-prompt illustrations directly in the reader at no additional charge for 24 hours after opening your book.
• Replacement Story Credits: If your storybook does not meet your expectations and you are not completely delighted within 7 days of purchase, reach out directly to andywarr@gmail.com. We will gladly issue a replacement story credit so you can generate a new storybook.
• Technical Faults: In the rare event of an unresolvable technical error that prevents a book from being created or delivered, a full refund to your original payment method will be issued.

9. AI Technology & Artistic Generation

Our storybooks and illustrations are created using advanced generative artificial intelligence and diffusion rendering technology. Because artistic generative models interpret prompts dynamically:

• Illustrations are artistic interpretations inspired by your photos, rather than exact photographic copies.
• We provide curated art styles and the 24-hour edit window so you can fine-tune text and imagery to your exact liking.

10. Account Cancellation & Contact Information

You may delete your account, characters, and books at any time directly through your dashboard or by contacting me. Upon request, all stored data will be permanently wiped.
